My current research includes the rise of the empowered CMO; the convergence of brand, customer, and employee experience; brand assessment and measurement; gender and racial equity; and brand building at the intersection of culture, consumer behavior, and technology (to learn more about my research at Forrester, please visit my page on Forrester's website.)
In the course of my career, I've had the chance to advise an extensive set of companies across the globe, including these: AbbVie, AstraZeneca, Bank of America, Santander, Cap Gemini, Gore, HSBC, IHG, Infiniti, J&J, Kraft, Lexus, Mastercard, Microsoft, Nestle, PWC, Patagonia, Pfizer, Prologis, Purina, Quicken Loans, Verizon, and YouTube.
Before my current role, I held leadership positions in consulting, managed the retail business of a Berkshire Hathaway firm, and led product and innovation functions at a Fortune 50 company. Early in my career, I served time both as a strategy consultant and an investment banker.
I was born in India and moved to the United States to study at Amherst College, where I graduated magna cum laude in Economics and was nominated to the Phi Beta Kappa society. While in the Ph.D. program at the University of Chicago, I was lured away by a consulting firm and left with an MBA in marketing and strategy.
When I'm not at work, you're likely to find me wandering in a distant land, nose buried in a (real) book, eating (spicy) street food, watching cricket, or playing tennis (not very well, I'm afraid).
